Exhibition opening hours

La Rada – Space for Contemporary Art is pleased to invite you to the first event of the annual programme LÌ DOVE NON SIAMO, generously hosted by Sonnenstube Offspace. The exhibition presents works by Rhoda Davids Abel, Babette Walder, Wren Cellier, Tiran Willemse and Oz Oderbolz, and is curated by Carolina Sanchez, Stella Spinedi, Mosé Melchiorre and Yimei Zhang.

At the heart of the exhibition is a sprawling thought, inspired by Donna Haraway's introduction to the concept of Oddkin (alternative kinship). In opposition to the narrative of the Anthropocene – in which humans are at the centre of the crisis – the Chtulucene proposes thinking with and through other beings, in a weaving of affective, corporeal and sensitive threads.

The exhibition aims to restore authority to lived experience by proposing a situated knowledge.

Oddkin becomes an open device, a place of listening and transformation, where making art means making kinship: with what frightens us, differentiates us, exceeds us. With what, by touching us, transforms us.
